This guide provides step-by-step instructions for adding adjustments or journal entries in GoSystems. It covers navigating the interface, adding and managing adjustments, and finalizing entries.
The primary goal of this guide is to assist users in accurately entering and managing GST adjustments and journal entries to ensure financial records are correct and up-to-date.
Workflow
Step 1: Navigate to the Adjustments Screen
To add adjustments or journal entries, first navigate to the Adjustments screen. This is where you can view, edit, and add new adjustments.
Step 2: Add a New Adjustment
Select the type of adjustment from the list provided and then click "Add Adjustment" to begin.
Step 3: Enter Adjustment Details
Start by entering the adjustment number and a brief description at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Assign Accounts
Select the accounts that will be used for the entry from the available accounts list on the left. Click the "Add" button to move them to the assigned accounts list on the right. Once all applicable accounts have been moved, click "Save" in the upper right.
Step 5: Determine Adjustment Type
Decide whether the adjustment is temporary or permanent. This setting will affect how the adjustment is processed and reported.
Step 6: Finalize the Entry
Once an adjustment is created, a plus sign will appear next to the adjustment type. Click this to expand and enter the debit and credit amounts for the adjustment. Finally, click "Save" to finalize the entries.
